The Swahili International. Tourism Expo (S!TE) preparatory committee has held its first meeting at the Tanzania Tourist Board headquarters in which the roles of sub-committees and stakeholders were established and discussed.


The meeting was attended by delegates from different institutions considered to stakeholders that have significant roles to play in making the event a success. The committee members attended the meeting were from. Regional Commissioner Office, Tanzania Revenue Authority, Immigration department, Police, Tourism Confederation of Tanzania (TCT), Hotel Keepers Association of Tanzania , Kinondoni Municipal, Dar es Salaam City Council and the host the Tanzania Tourist Board.

The expo which is coordinated by the Tanzania Tourist Board in collaboration with Pure Grit project and Exhibition Management Company from South Africa is scheduled to take place at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam from 1st to 4th October this year and is expected to draw a good number of exhibitors from all over the world.

The S!TE will definitely be a unique platform for Tanzania tourism stakeholders to market a country as a tourism destination as well as promoting their products and services international.
