Although there is a big list of African’s most famous national parks that boast of having varieties of wild animals that has unique characteristics, but at Serengeti the subject is  different and of its own nature.
Serengeti is the Tanzania’s largest national park that has an area that is estimated to be 14,763 square kilometres located 335 kilometres from Arusha touristic town in the Tanzanian North while bordering Kenya and Lake Victoria to the West, full of wild life that are roaming with in and enjoying the rich ecosystem full of acacia trees and other creatures.


This popular national park has emerged to be the famous and as it has the one and only big wildlife migration that consist of gazelles, Lions, giraffes and elephants to mention a few.
During dry season the wild life migration from Serengeti enjoys the free movement to neighbouring Kenya Masai Mara game reserve, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority Maswa and Ikorongo.
The best time to for viewing this World unique migration that is driven by season as they move for grass across various zones there is unpredictable.


Therefore its advisable for those who wish to get a great view from Lobo area they should make their timings on September & October during when is mostly believed that the migration pass by this area.
On the other hand using the so called Western Corridor or Grumeti area is another option which can be taken on June and July where you will have a clear view of wilder animals, and crocodiles across the river during this migration period.


Going to Serengeti is that much easier for you choose going there by Air or road. There is a charter flight that operates from Mwanza, Lake Manyara and Arusha Airport and by road from the same points. You need nothing in addition to your passport and visa you do not need any additional document to get access to the park.
A lot of activities are always conducted there ranging from Game drives in the park, Air balloon safaris, picnics, bush lunch walk safaris, traditional arts and Ikoma music performed by local people living around the park.


Accommodation ranges from luxury lodges such as Bilila Lodge, Seronera Wildlife Lodge, Serena Lodge, Lobo Wildlife Lodge, Serena Kirawira Luxury Permanent Tented Camp, Mbuzi Mawe Luxury Tented Camp, Ndasiata Migration Camp Luxury Permanent Tented Camp, Grumeti Luxury Permanent Tented Camp, Mbalageti Camp, Kusini Camp, Public Campsites, Special Campsites that are spread out all over the park to standard and tented camps. 
Unless your agent has made it inclusive then you should bear in mind that meals, drinks transport to the park as well as park fees, camping expenses with all its amenitie will be paid by you.



This is the largest National park in Tanzania for its area and has millions wildebeest of various types. Its specialty has made it to be named the 7th world wonder. The only thing one will not forget about this place is the migration as its no where to be found in the world unless you made your step to Serengeti Tanzania.
